Two suspects aged 17 and 21 were arrested in France for a deadly pursuit in the Belgian Mouscron last weekend. The 17-year-old declared to the police that he was behind the wheel. The second vehicle involved in the fatal accident in Mouscron was found in France.
A car corresponding to the description after the fatal accident was seized on Sunday evening in the Épeule district in Roubaix in northern France.
Sunday around 6:30 p.m., a patrol arrested a first suspect at his place of work in Roncq. The 21-year-old man was deprived of his freedom for the sake of the investigation.
Two hours later, a 17-year-old person reported to the office of the central police station in Tourcoing. According to RTBF, the young man said he was behind the wheel. He, too, has been secured.

In Belgium, the prosecutors office of Doornik-Bergen investigated intentional traffic obstruction and involuntary manslaughter with hit-and-run crime. The investigating judge in Tournai could not comment on the case on Monday, reports Nieuwsblad.
