More young adults had mental health problems in the first half of this year, according to figures from the Central Statistical Office. One in four people between 18 and 25 years old was psychologically unhealthy during that period. Thats a 10 percent increase compared to 2020.

According to the CBS, someone is considered psychologically unhealthy if, for example, they often feel bleak, nervous and experiences a lot of stress. According to the latest figures, young adults suffer from such complaints more often than other age groups. Whether the corona crisis is the cause of the rise in human mental health complaints, the CBS cannot determine.
