’40 plus 50 million euros: Chelsea to take over Koulibaly from Napoli’

The developments around Kalidou Koulibaly follow each other at a rapid pace. The Senegalese stopper is close to a personal agreement with Chelsea and an agreement between the clubs is a matter of time.
Koulibaly was also linked to Juventus โ€” which seems to lose Matthijs de Ligt โ€” but Chelsea will become his new employer, after eight seasons at Napoli. The Southern Italians did not have enough of the 31-year-old defender and also wanted to offer him an administrative career, but have to say goodbye.
Italian transfer specialists Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio will come up with the corresponding figures on Tuesday evening. Chelsea wants to buy off Koulibalys last year of contract for forty million euros, including bonuses. At Stamford Bridge, a contract is waiting for him until mid-2027, with an annual salary of ten million euros. The conversations between the two clubs pose fewer problems than initially expected and an agreement may follow on Wednesday.
Chelsea has not captured any new players, but is now pushing the accelerator. In addition to Koulibaly, Manchester City duo Raheem Sterling-Nathan Akรฉ are also on the way.
