Blogger ElanalistaDeBits published the first Mass Effect Legendary Edition test for the PS5 and Xbox Series X, where the compilation runs on backwards compatibility. Both versions work in a fair 4K at 60 FPS, however there is a rudimentary performance mode with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, where the resolution is reduced to 1440p. On the PS5 it does not make sense to include – it easily reaches 60 FPS in quality mode.
But on Series X, the “performance” mode includes 120 FPS – on the PS5 this feature is not due to the limitations of backwards compatibility. In this mode, ME1 shows not very stable performance with drops of up to 80 frames.
In ME2 and ME3, everything is much better. Graphics on consoles are absolutely the same, but downloads on Xbox Series X due to backward compatibility restrictions on the PS5 are noticeably faster — the ME1 menu runs almost 4 times faster on Xbox.
However, with saves, the situation is already slightly different: on XSX – 1. 33 seconds, and on the PS5 – 3.
43 seconds. In other parts of the comparisons have not yet had time to draw.
