A sign of life beneath the debris of the explosion in Beirut

Today is exactly one month since the huge explosion in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. A large part of the city has been destroyed and almost 200 people have died. Yet every now and then there is news that gives hope.

Beneath the rubble of a house, a rescue dog has found a sign of life. The dog saw something moving. That could mean there’s someone still alive under the debris.

Today, the search for survivors continues. Rescuers must be very careful

The Red Cross relief organisation has already been able to help a hundred thousand people in Lebanon in the past month. This allows people there to rebuild their lives a bit.
