Guus Til could make his return in the Eredivisie. According to the Algemeen Dagblad, the name of the single Oranje-International — currently active at SC Freiburg — has fallen to Feyenoord.
Til played at AZ between 2016 and 2019, where future Feyenoord trainer Arne Slot was active as an assistant trainer. After his AZ time, the attacking midfielder left for Spartak Moscow, but sat there at a dead end and was based in Freiburg. In Germany, however, he does not have much to play: according to the AD, this could offer opportunities for Feyenoord.
The Zambia born midfielder is the ideal man behind the spires in the system Slot has in mind, it sounds like. However, the financially badly affected Feyenoord seems to be able to obtain Til only with a rental structure: according to the generally well-informed Feyenoord Transfer Market, this should cost around 1.7 million euros. The attacking midfielder is under contract with Spartak until 2023.
Update #Freiburg mercenary Guus #Til: Player has spoken with Arne Slot about possible rental season 2021/2022, in which case #Feyenoord must deposit a sum of €155m Russian Ruble (+- €1.7m) to owner #Spartak Moscow. That money is not available: nothing concrete.
