Danny Buijs heard after FC Groningen – Feyenoord that Ludogorets made a new bid for Sergio Padt. The 30-year-old goalkeeper may have won his last match at Hitachi Capital Mobility Stadium.
After the goalless draw against Feyenoord, Padt alluded an early departure to his next club Ludogorets, which still has four days before the Bulgarian transfer deadline expires. “I‘m very simple,” Buijs responds at ESPN. “I hope he finishes the season with us, but if the board thinks it’s in the club‘s best interest to accept the offer, they should.”
“But I also hear it just in the hallway,” continues Buijs. “I can only hope that the offer is not good enough and Padt finishes the season at Groningen.” On the departure of Padt, the trainer of FC Groningen still has the Norwegian Per Bråtveit (rented from Djurgårdens IF with option to buy) and Jan de Boer. “At the moment they are not of Sergio’s level, it is that simple,” says Buijs.
