Case manager José Fortes has responded to the news about his client Brian Brobbey, who will leave Ajax transfer free after this season. Both parties had been discussing contract renewal with each other for a long time, but have not reached an agreement.
Ajax director Marc Overmars announced in a press release that Ajax had done everything to seduce Brobbey to sign his signature. Fortes — together with Mino Raiola the advocate of the nineteen-year-old striker — endorses this. “Ajax really did everything it could to do. There was also little wrong with the proposal,” he says to the Algemeen Dagblad.
However, it was not enough to draw on. “Brian makes this choice based on his feeling. Ajax cant do anything about that,” explains Fortes. Where Brobbey continues his career is not yet clear. The striker and his business managers are not yet in conversation with other clubs. “We will see what the future brings. But again, that is not the reason for Ajax.”
Brobbey went through Ajaxs youth training, debuted this season in the first and scored directly against Fortuna Sittard. Meanwhile, he has scored twice in six gigs on behalf of the main force.
