Air between Roda and Van As has been cleared: ‘Still disillusioned about the decision’

Roda JC and Jeffrey van As broke up by mutual agreement. The Limburg club said not to need the technical director‘s services a few days ago, but Van As did not agree to that.
Roda made a ‘
structure change‘, which meant that Van As had to step on. That was against the sore leg of supporters, who had the technical director high, and Van As himself. After a few days, both parties came out, because in a press release, both the club and the director say they broke up by mutual agreement.
Van As does record that he is still unhappy with the course of affairs. โ€œI remain extremely disappointed about the decision made. I didn’
t feel like my work was finished here and I am convinced that Roda JC is back on track. In the meantime, the club leadership has provided a correct and tidy settlement and I wish the club from the bottom of my heart a beautiful sporting future.โ€
Managing Director Martijn Wismans and Joop Janssen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, are the bitten dogs with fans. They too have their response ready. โ€œWe regret this necessary step, but that does not prevent the fact that Roda JC has taken essential steps in the development of the club since his arrival.โ€
