Aircraft Air India breaks down flight by bat in cabin

An Air India aircraft had to dismantle its flight to the United States on Thursday after a bat appeared to flutter around in the cabin. Videos that became widespread on social media showed that the beast caused panic among crew and passengers.

When an hour after takeoff to Newark the bat was discovered in the Boeing 777, the pilot decided to return to New Delhi, reported news agency ANI Saturday. After landing, the bat was found dead in the business class.

Air India is still going to figure out how to get this stowaway aboard, but the airline suggested that the beast might have been hidden in catering trolleys.

It has often happened that an animal forced a plane to land. In early March this year, a cat terrorized the cockpit of a flight from Khartoum to Qatar.
