Surprising news from Amsterdam: Eyong Enoh has joined Ajax again after more than seven years, to the Saturday gamateurs that is. The 35-year-old Cameroon will be on display next season in the Third Division Saturday, reports the amateur branch of the Amsterdammers.
The first Saturday number of Ajax shared a photo of Enoh with team manager Jan Fleijsman via the official channels. Enoh stopped playing soccer during the 2019/2020 season — as a player of the Cypriot Olympiakos Nicosia — but went back to meettrain in Amsterdam. After this season, he will make his unofficial Ajax rentree, with the team that stood twelfth in the Third Division at the early end of the amateur leagues.
Enoh joined Ajax in 2008, after he came across from the Ajax Cape Town satellite club. The 55-fold international of Cameroon then played 149 official matches on behalf of Ajax, although over time his contribution became smaller and smaller. Early 2013 Enoh was rented to Fulham, one year later he left for the Turkish Antalyaspor. In the spring of 2018 he was briefly admired at Willem II, after which Enoh moved to Cyprus.
