Ajax brothers discuss RKC-duel on the field after: ‘Getting back moments’

The twin brothers Timber went through the Feyenoord and Ajax youth together and are about to be reunited in the first team. Jurriën (photo) has conquered his place in the back and Quinten now also hikes up against his debut in the main power.
The latter was already in the competition selection at the end of February during PSV-Ajax and sat on Sunday afternoon against RKC Waalwijk, while brother Jurriën again completed the ninety minutes. The two immediately looked for each other afterwards. “He just takes moments back: this could be better or this was really good, that actually,” says Jurriën Timber in conversation with AT5.
There is not a lot of time to visit Waalwijk: Thursday the Europa League return against AS Roma awaits, Sunday the cup finals beckons against Vitesse. Timber has to stand there again, although he did not come out of the duel with RKC unscathed. “I got a kick on my shin, which bothered me a little. I still feel him, but things are better,” says the defender, who wants to retake himself in Rome after the 1-2 defeat in his own house. “That trust is in it, yes. We‘re really excited about it, we’re ready.”
