‘Ajax ceases external search for a successor for Overmars’

Ajax is probably no longer looking for a new technical director from outside. Within the club, there is satisfaction with Gerry Hamstra and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and how they complete their work.
After the departure of director of football affairs Marc Overmars due to cross-border behaviour, Jordi Cruijff was first polled. However, that did not come to an end and according to De Cceit Ajax is so happy with the work of Hamstra and Huntelaar, that there will be no further search for the time being.
The duo, which is already referred to as H2 by the morning newspaper, has received the trust of the management and the Supervisory Board and that is not ashamed by the appointment of Alfred Schreuder as new trainer. Partly because of this, it would be crazy if a new technical man is appointed now, since he then has to work with a trainer he did not appoint.
Edwin van der Sar indicated earlier that it could best be that Hamstra or Huntelaar will be appointed as new director in the summer. โ€œIf you do it right, you will often stand,โ€ were the general managers words.
