Ajax ‘snoozes’ on the transfer market: ‘When you have that much money in the bank… ‘

Marciano Vink believes that Ajax lacks decisiveness in the transfer market. The former player of Ajax and PSV, among others, does not understand why the transfer period is so difficult for the Amsterdammers.
Ajax has Steven Bergwijn, Owen Wijndal and Brian Brobbey in his sights, but so far fails to permanently recruit one of them all. โ€œI find it difficult in the room to first sell Sรฉbastien Haller before Bergwijn, Brobbey and Wijndal can be reached,โ€ says Vink at the ESPN programme Voetbaltalk. โ€œIf you have that much money in the bank, you can make a decision a little faster, right?โ€
According to Vink, Ajax acted too late, as Bergwijn has had a strong international period. โ€œIts market value may have risen and other hijackers have arrived on the coast. I dont understand why you have to take so long if you have the money lying around…โ€ It is reported that Ajax has increased the bid for Bergwijn at Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs demands thirty million euros, but it is still unclear whether the bid from the Amsterdammers is enough.
