Ajax is going to join with goalkeeper Mart Alegoz. The sixteen-year-old goalkeeper, who has both Dutch and Turkish nationalities, comes across from Sparta. Alegoz joins Ajax O17, reports Ajax Showtime.
At Ajax O17, a vacancy arose after Roy Steurs departure. The talented goalkeeper moved to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany last week. According to Ajax Showtime, Feyenoord, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe were also interested in Alegoz. He recently did an internship at Galatasaray. Alegoz was also on trial at Ajax and eventually decided to move to Amsterdam.
Alegoz was a goalkeeper at Sparta O16 last season. He seems to confirm the transfer to Ajax: his LinkedIn page shows an Ajax logo. Last season there was a lot of interest in Alegoz.
News: #Ajax strengthens with the talented goalkeeper Mert Alegoz (16). Goalkeeper comes across from Sparta and is the successor of Roy Steur to Leverkusen. Alegoz was also in the emphatic interest of Feyenoord, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, but opts for Ajax.
