‘Ajax welcomes three base players back for crucial cup duel with PSV’

Ajax expects Noussair Mazraoui, Nicolás Tagliafico and Mohammed Kudus to make minutes in the quarterfinals of the PSV Cup tournament on Wednesday evening. The two backs are probably in the base.

Het Algemeen Dagblad writes that Mazraoui and Tagliafico have been fully trained in the last few days and seem ready for a place in the basic setup. Maarten Stekelenburg will also be part of this. The newspaper says that the experienced goalkeeper is preferable to Kjell Scherpen and is put under the bar by trainer Erik ten Hag.
Due to a suspension, Ajax will not be able to appeal to Ryan Gravenberch, but that is the return of Mohammed Kudus. The Ghanaians seem to have recovered from a knee injury he suffered against Liverpool in October last year, and have also surpassed his recoil, which played him off after the competition against PSV (2-2).
Kudus doesnt seem fit enough to start the game, but will be in the competition selection. Oussama Idrissi, the newest addition of the Amsterdammers, is also part of the group of players who can play against PSV.
