Algemeen Dagblad: Tottenham Hotspur indeed in the market for Dost

Eintracht Frankfurt-spits Bas Dost has indeed been in the spotlight of Tottenham Hotspur, reports the Algemeen Dagblad Tuesday morning. The remarkable news was already circulating in England earlier this week. Dost was explicitly linked to the Belgian Club Bruges earlier this summer, but that transfer kettled off: the Jupiler Pro League-champion could not meet the asking price of Eintracht Frankfurt. Now all of a sudden there is a dream transfer in sight, provided Dost is willing to settle for a reserve role. According to the AD, Tottenham manager Josรฉ Mourinho is looking for an extra centre spire, next to Harry Kane.
The eighteen-time Dutch national came over from Sporting Portugal for seven million euros one year ago and will be based in Frankfurt for another two years. During his first season, the former striker of FC Emmen, Heracles Almelo, sc Heerenveen and VfL Wolfsburg scored ten goals in thirty official matches. On Saturday Dost made his first of the new season, during the 1860 Munich Cup match.
