The ambitious AS Monza would like to strengthen itself with Wilfried Gnonto this summer. The Italian international of FC Zurich was frequently associated with Feyenoord in the past period, but the Stadionclub now seems to be facing serious competition in the battle for the signature of the eighteen-year-old talent.
This is what La Gazzetta dello Sport reports. According to the Italian newspaper, Gnonto is high on the wish list of Silvio Berlusconi, the owner of Monza. Feyenoord was already working on the talented Italian at an earlier stage and even placed an offer with Zurich. The Rotterdammers reportedly wanted to bring the eighteen-year-old attacker to De Kuip for an amount of seven million euros including bonuses. The president of the Swiss club called the bid “ridiculous.” Zurich wants to receive a minimum amount of ten million euros for Gnonto.
It was already announced on Saturday that ambitious Monza Luis Suárez has made an offer. The Uruguayan saw a transfer to River Plate ricocheted and Monza responds to that. At Monza, Suárez is said to be able to earn five million euros a year. He would have let us know to think about the offer. Monza has played in Serie A for the first time in 112 years and has big plans. The club has already contracted thirteen players to date.
