Brazil has long and wide placed for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, yet has left points in the South American qualifying cycle. The formation of national coach Tite (picture above), who made Antony in half an hour before, spilled points at Ecuador: 1-1.
Almost all the spectacle took place in the first half. Casemiro was the one who opened the score on behalf of the Brazilians and thus opened the ball of events. Less than ten minutes later, Ecuadors keeper took red. Alexander Dominguez came out way too wild, kicked Matheus Cunha in the neck and was sent away after a VAR intervention.
Shortly after, Brazil also stood with ten men. Emerson Royal had already grabbed a silly yellow card in the first minute and did that trick again thinly, so the Seleçao could only enjoy the overtalk on the field for a very short time. When Alisson Becker also appeared to be sent off the field with red, the turnips were cooked for the visitors, but that card was converted to yellow by the VAR.
All that happened in the first half hour and everything that happened afterwards couldnt match those first thirty minutes. Brazil tried to hold the 0-1 lead and did so with Antony, who was allowed to fill in for Raphinha after 63 minutes. Unfortunately for the Ajacied, Ecuador scored: Felix Torres headlined and thus gave his country a point. Deep in injury time, a red card for Alisson was then withdrawn again by the VAR.
