Biopic Respect, in which Jennifer Hudson plays soul singer Aretha Franklin, does not come out in January. Studio MGM announced Tuesday that the films premiere has been postponed until 11 August, says Variety.
Respect was supposed to be in cinemas last August, but the release was moved to January due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. This is what is happening again: in the big cities of America the cinemas are still closed, so the studio does not dare to keep the film on schedule for January.
MGM also announced that he was making a mark with the planned release of Tomb Raider 2 on 19 March. It is not yet known when the sequel with Alicia Vikander will be released again in the lead role. The film is the sequel to Tomb Raider from 2018, which was another reboot of video game films starring Angelina Jolie in 2001 and 2003.
