Football: Mascherano decides career
23:44 h The Argentine footballer Javier Mascherano has ended his career immediately. He said that during a press conference at his club Estudiantes de La Plata.
The 36-year-old Mascherano played no less than 147 interlands. In the semi-finals of the 2014 World Cup against the Dutch national team, he was able to win a possible hit by Arjen Robben.
Mascherano played football in Europe for West Ham United, Liverpool and FC Barcelona. He won twice Olympic gold with Argentina.
Football: Almere City loses head position
21:51pm Cambuur has given the first defeat of the season with a massive beating Almere City (7-2). The visitors have therefore lost the leading position in the Kitchen Champion Division to De Graafschap.

Motorsport: Dutch success in Formula 4
At the Circuit de Catalunya Thomas ten Brinke won his first race in a so-called single seater. The 15-year-old driver, accompanied by Giedo van der Garde and became World Champion Karting in the OK class last year, was the fastest in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship.

Tennis: Sabalenka knocks Mertens and picks title in Linz
17:15pm Tennis star Arina Sabalenka has written the tournament of Linz to her name. The Belarusian first placed in Austria won in two sets of the Belgian Elise Mertens: 7-5 6-2

Golf: Van Dam ends fourth in Saudi Arabia
16.12 p.m.: Anne van Dam finished fourth at the Ladies International in Saudi Arabia thanks to a strong closing round of 68 strokes (-4). The 25-year-old Arnhemse had five birdies and a bogey at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club. It was her best round at the first edition of the event, which had a prize money of $1 million. Motorsport: Mir new world champion MotoGP
15.06 hours: The Spaniard Joan Mir is the new world champion in the MotoGP. The 23-year-old driver of Suzuki finished seventh in the Grand Prix of Valencia and that ranking was sufficient to gain an unbridgeable edge over the competition in the championship in the penultimate race of the year.
The Italian Franco Morbidelli, who was still contender of the title, did what he had to do. The driver of Yamaha won the race after a spectacular duel with Australian Jack Miller, but Mir scored enough points in his rankings to secure the title. He is the successor to Marc Marquez, the six-time world champion who broke his right arm at the beginning of the season and stopped coming into action.
Football: Orange-wrouls practice on 27 November against United States
14.39 p.m.: The Dutch womens team plays a game against the United States on 27 November. Orange meets the world champion at the Rat Verlegh Stadium in Breda.
This is the first time that both countries have played against each other after the finals of the 2019 World Cup in Lyon, in which Team USA was too strong with 2-0. The kick-off in Breda is at 6:35.
American football women are first in the FIFA ranking and are the most successful team in the history of womens football. They attended all editions of the World Cup and picked up a medal every time: four gold, one silver and three bronze. The Orange Lions, currently fourth in the FIFA rankings, have been undefeated for twelve consecutive matches since the lost World Cup finals with nine wins and three matches.
“ Now that the European Championship qualification is in place, our focus can be fully on next years Olympic Games,” says national coach Sarina Wiegman. “We cannot wish for a better start to this preparation with such a top opponent; it really is a measuring moment to see where we stand. Of course it is also extra special because it is the repeat of last years World Cup finals.”
Football: Go Ahead Eagles defeats FC Den Bosch
14.36 hours: Go Ahead Eagles has achieved the fifth win of the season against FC Den Bosch. The team of coach Kees van Wonderen was at home in Deventer with 3-0 too strong for FC Den Bosch. Go Ahead rises through victory to seventh place in the Kitchen Champion Division with 19 points.
Antoine Rabillard opened the score for the home team after a quarter of an hour. Shortly thereafter, Go Ahead scored 2-0 by Daniel Noelss own goal. Just before rest, Bas Kuipers made the 3-0 with a hard low shot from the left side. In the second half both teams did not score anymore.
Tennis: Rus takes Zidansek double title in Linz
14.32 hours: Arantxa Rus has won the double title with her double partner Tamara Zidansek from Slovenia at the Linz tournament. In the final in the Austrian city, the duo defeated the first Czech players Lucie Hradecka and Katerina Siniakova in two sets: 6-3 6-4
for Russian, it is the third time that she won a title in the doubles on the WTA Tour. In August, she won the doubles at the Palermo tournament with Zidansek. In 2017, she won the double tournament in Bastad, Sweden with compatriot Quirine Lemoine.
In the singles game, Rus was eliminated this week in the second round of the Linz tournament. The 29-year-old tennis star lost to Russian Veronika Kudermetova. Motorsport: Bendsneyder eighth in Moto2 Valencia, win Martin

Motorsport: Moto3 driver Arbolino will compete in the World Cup
12.39: Motorbike driver Tony Arbolino won the Grand Prix of Valencia in the Moto3. The Italian was the fastest for the Spanish Sergio Garcia and Raul Fernandez in the race on the circuit in the Spanish city. For Arbolino, its the first win this season.
In the stand for the World Championship, Albert Arenas continues to take the lead. The Spaniard finished fourth and comes in the World Cup stand at 170 points. Football: Ukraine sends home infected internationals
09.39 a.m.: Federal coach Andrei Shevchenko of the Ukrainian football team has sent home his four players infected with the coronavirus.
With the rest of his selection, the team takes on Tuesday against Switzerland in Lucerne, said the coach after the defeat (1-3) Saturday in Leipzig against Germany in the Nations League.
