‘Arias sets sights on PSV return: Eindhoven residents show interest, but wait out’

Santiago Arias sees a return to PSV, reports the Eindhovens Dagblad. The Colombian is currently gaining a transfer-free status and is in the picture at several clubs. PSV is one of the clubs with interest.
The medium holds a stroke around the arm. A comeback is not very obvious, because PSV already has quite a few defenders on board, it sounds. Arias is without a club, after his contract with Atlético Madrid was dissolved last week. PSV is currently looking at several options to strengthen the selection. It is reported that the people of Eindhoven will not go through until it is clear whether the club is insured of Champions League football next season.
Thirty-year-old Arias earns a million salary. The question is whether PSV can and will comply with this. Ruud van Nistelrooij also has Phillipp Mwene and Ki-Jana Hoever on the right flank, while Jordan Teze can also handle that position.
Arias already played for PSV between 2013 and 2018. In Eindhoven, he became national champion three times, after which he left for Atlético for eleven million euros. For Los Rojiblancos, the 54-time Colombian international, partly due to injury suffering, only took action 51 times.
