Arsenal has reported to Leeds United for Raphinha, reports The Athletic. An offer has been made and even a view of an agreement.
As expected, Leeds rejected the first bid and Arsenal returns with an improved bid. The club is accelerating after FC Barcelona is also interested in Raphinha. Because Barcelona has financial problems, a transfer to Camp Nou becomes difficult. Arsenal is now hoping to jump into that hole. The amount of the bid is unknown.
25-year-old Raphinha has had two strong seasons at Leeds. In his first year, the winger achieved six goals and nine assists in thirty games, up to eleven goals in three assists in 35 games in the past year. His contract continues until the summer of 2024.
🚨 EXCL: Arsenal have this evening submitted a formal offer to Leeds for Raphinha. #AFC contacted #LUFC earlier to indicate intention to make bid & that has now landed. Falls well short of #LUFC valuation, expected to be rejected out of hand @TheAthleticUK https://t.co/KUnHHNtFMe
