“Arsenal priority is with a striker: Gakpo still in waiting room”

For Arsenal, hitting a new striker is a priority during the summer transfer window, reports The Athletic. Cody Gakpo is also still in the picture at The Gunners, but PSV does not seem to receive an offer for the time being.
According to the generally well-entered medium, Arsenal looks at the possibilities of attracting a wing-attacker, with Gakpo being one of the options on the table. However, before the Londoners strengthen themselves in that position, another outside player will have to leave first. Nicolas Pépé is eligible for this. Until then, Gakpo and PSV will probably have to be patient.
The Athletic insists that Arsenal is initially targeting a new striker. Gabriel Jesus is the top candidate and technical director Edu is optimistic about the talks with the Brazilian, who can leave Manchester City with a good bid. Several names are on the shadow list, including Alexander Isak and AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham.
Meanwhile, Arsenal does not rule out reinforcements in other positions. This is how Youri Tielemans is also in the picture. The Belgian has only been stuck at Leicester City for one year, where he can probably leave for about thirty million euros. The first discussions took place in the meantime.
