The release of Diablo 2: Resurrected failed to take place, as players massively encountered various issues while launching the game. Users complain about server bugs, departures, and interference. Some have the game remove created heroes altogether, and they are already in the process of progressing.
Among other things, players note that the project has fallen servers — probably due to a large influx of users after release. As a result, the game just doesnt start.
Blizzard responded to this by remembering past failed launches, and added that having an internet connection to complete the single player campaign is questionable. Some users decided not to sacrifice time while waiting for bugs to be corrected, and began issuing refunds.
