Fredrik Midtsjö will travel to Turkey to complete his transfer to Galatasaray. AZ reports this via the club channels. It is reported that the Alkmaarders will receive about 3.5 million euros for Midtsjö.
In the past week, it became clear that Midtsjö is likely to leave AZ. Now the number five in the Netherlands itself also has news about the Norwegian midfielder: the club gives him permission to travel to Istanbul. Midtsjö can complete his transfer there.
AZ will therefore almost certainly not be able to dispose of the 28-year-old Scandinavian in the Conference League meeting with Dundee United. If all goes well, Midtsjö can already show his face at Galatasarays first league match, against Antalyaspor. That game is scheduled in a week.
Norwegian media already reported that AZ has about 3.5 million left to the international. Five years ago, the club paid another million euros to Rosenborg BK for Midtsjö. The controller quickly joined the team at AZ and then grew into a reliable force.
