AZ captures Reus (19) to 2023: ‘Went through special things last season’

AZ has rewarded Beau Reus. The nineteen-year-old goalkeeper signed his contract until mid-2023 on Tuesday, and it‘s the first professional contract Reus signs.
Giant was able to smell AZ’
s first team a few times. Since this season, he belongs to the selection of trainer Pascal Jansen. AZ is now rewarding him with a contract. โ€œThis is the ultimate reward for hard work,โ€ says Reus on AZ‘s club site.
โ€œFrom the moment you play in the AZ Youth, you’
ll do everything you can to get the first team. It‘s good that this succeeded now. I’ve been through special things this past season. I debuted in paid football at Jong AZ, played many games and now know what is being asked at this level. In the coming years, I want to continue to develop myself as much as possible so that I can eventually qualify for official play minutes in AZ 1, Reus says.
โ€œIt‘s nice that there’s another Alkmaarder in the selection now,โ€ says technical director Max Huiberts. โ€œBeau is a boy in his own education and can gain experience over the next few years. We hope he continues to develop this way.โ€
