AZ is about to welcome a new attacker: Jesper Karlsson is to strengthen the AZ selection. The double Swedish international is already on the plane to the Netherlands to complete the transfer.
That is what the Swedish Sportbladet reports. AZ is said to be paying over EUR 2.5 million for 22-year-old Karlsson, who is currently playing for IF Elfsborg. It is expected that the deal can be made official as early as Friday
AZs Director of Football Affairs, Max Huiberts, indicated earlier this week that AZ wants to further strengthen the vanguard for next season. Karlsson should become the much desired acquisition for the Alkmaar-based club. The Swede will be in the vanguard in all positions. It is not yet known for how long Karlsson will draw at AZ.
Karlsson was in the interest of several clubs from Europe, but reportedly chooses for an adventure in the Eredivisie.
