‘Bad news for Anderlecht and PSV: Zirkzee gets a new opportunity’

RSC Anderlecht hires Joshua Zirkzee from Bayern Munich this season, but according to Kicker, Germany‘s champion wants to give the Dutch striker another chance in the first team next season. That means bad news for Anderlecht and PSV.
According to annual custom, there was a meeting with the team’
s commissioners at Bayern Munich at the end of the season. The board of directors, around Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic, presented the plans for the coming season. There was also talk about the future of the Zirkzee. The CEO and sports director want to bring Zirkzee back to the group next season, writes Kicker.
It is not yet clear what role Zirkzee will play next season at Bayern Munich. If Robert Lewandowski stays, the Pole will be the first choice in the attack. Zirkzee already made it clear in the past that he would rather not go back to a spare roll. However, Lewa would have already indicated that he does not want to renew his contract and may be leaving, which could provide opportunities for the Dutch striker.
In the meantime, Anderlecht still hopes to convince Bayern Munich and Zirkzee that another year at purple-white is good for all parties. It gets competition from PSV, which is looking for new attackers and had already put the Schiedammer on the list of potential acquisitions. A sum of ten million euros would be enough to make it, but it is not clear whether Bayern will still agree to that.
