Manchester United thinks he will soon have access to Paul Pogba again. The French midfielder was disabled for several weeks with a hamstring injury, but one of these weeks seems to be able to make his return for the formation from Manchester.
That‘s what Manchester Evening News reports. The meeting with Crystal Palace on Wednesday and the loaded city derby against Manchester City next weekend are probably too early for Pogba. United hopes that Pogba will be able to attend the other races in March, before the international season.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is satisfied with the rehabilitation of Pogba. “He is very positive,” says the Norwegian. “He works very hard. He knows that when he comes back, we don’t have two or three games to get him back into his shape. So he is working hard on his fitness.”
The return of Pogba means that the view of playing minutes for Donny van de Beek, who recently suffered from an injury, probably further clouds. Before the duel with Chelsea last weekend, Van de Beek had to tolerate midfielders Fred, Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes. If Pogba returns immediately, chances are that the midfielder from Nijkerkerveen will drop another spot in the pecking order.
