Bangura addresses Feyenoord interest: Dont go comparing myself to Malacia

SC Cambuur-back Alex Bangura has responded to the rumors of a possible transfer to Feyenoord. The left wing back insists that it is “not that far”.
Bangura is considered a mainstay at Cambuur. Trainer Henk de Jong already spoke on Friday about a possible departure of his player and after the game with FC Utrecht, he responds himself. “It‘s nice when Feyenoord informs,” laughs Bangura, who already played in the youth school of the Rotterdammers, to ESPN. “It’s a good sign that such a big club is informing.”
Bangura herself has not had any contact with Feyenoord yet. “It went through the clubs, but I got it. It is not yet official, there is no concrete offer yet”, he emphasizes. In De Kuip, 23-year-old Bangura is seen as a potential candidate to succeed Tyrell Malacia who left for Manchester United. “I‘m not going to compare myself to Malacia. I’m just playing my own game. Am I going to sit there on the couch? No, it‘s not that far yet.”
