Barbershop Amsterdam must close after shelling and explosion

A barbershop in Amsterdam’s Nieuw-West district has to be closed indefinitely. Last night the shop was shot at five times, the night before the shop had already been the target of an explosion.

The shop on Slotermeerlaan was opened a month ago by soccer player Hakim Ziyech and is run by the Amsterdam kickboxer Aziz Kallah. The barbershop is in the name of his father, Saïd Kallah. According to Het Parool, he was active in the criminal milieu in 2009.

According to the Amsterdam newspaper, stories about the kickboxer have also been circulating in the criminal milieu for some time about problems he is said to have caused, but police investigations have never confirmed this.
