Barcelona President Laporta: ‘Maybe Ronald was uncomfortable with it’

FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta is looking forward to a new season with Ronald Koeman. At first, the trainer seemed to be on the way to the exit, but now the two are aligned, according to Laporta.
Couman and Laporta spoke to each other several times in the run-up to the new season. Then a bizarre turn followed: Laporta said Koeman was hospitalized, when it wasn‘t. That was understood by the Kamp-couman as an offensive to get rid of him. Barcelona has no money and could not buy Koeman either.
After talking to him three times, I saw that we can work together. We think the same about a lot of things, Laporta says to La Vanguardia. I am happy. I would have liked some things going differently, I told him that too. I don’
t like making people insecure and maybe Ronald felt uncomfortable, so did I.
I was disappointed because I thought we were going to win La Liga. I told Koeman I didn‘t understand why it didn’t work out. I think the process has been good for our band. It is important that a trainer and chairman have a good relationship with each other, says Laporta.
