FC Barcelona is interested in Leeds United forward Raphina, but Catalans are consciously waiting to make an opening bid. According to Fabrizio Romano, Raphinha has a demotion and enforcement clause in his contract.
Barcelona hopes to attract another attacker next summer. Ajax outdoorplayer Antony was linked to Spains current number three, but the club leadership now seems to want to go for Raphinha. Barça has been having advanced conversations with the Leeds players agent for over a month, Romano knows. Nevertheless, the Spanish power house has not yet made an offer and that is conscious.
So Raphinha has two redemption clauses in his commitment: if Leeds degrades, clubs can pick him up for 25 million euros. If The Peacocks are still in the Premier League next season, Raphinhas contract can be bought out for 75 million.
Leeds United is now in a safe sixteenth place. The gap with the degradation zone is seven points. However, all clubs under line have even more games than Leeds are scheduled for this season.
Raphinhas contract includes two release clauses: 75 million in case Leeds will stay in PL, 25 million if delegated. Thats why Barcelona are waiting to make their opening bid. 🇧🇷 #FCB Personal terms not an issue. Barça are in advanced talks with his agent Deco since February.
