Bayern Munich to next round Champions League, Barcelona escapes

Bayern Munich has almost certainly secured a spot in the next round of the Champions League on Tuesday night. For FC Barcelona, it has come a lot closer after an escape from Dinamo Kiev.
Bayern – Benfica 5-2For Bayern there was no dirt on the air in the end, although in the opening phase it did take fits and bumps for Julian Nagelsmanns team. Benfica thought to be ahead after fifteen minutes of play, but Lucas Verissimos goal was frowned upon due to offside.

After the disapproved 0-1, Bayern set the tone and there was no more hold for Benfica. Alphonso Davies missed one-on-one with goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos, but saw Robert Lewandowski score a little later. And then the floor was to Serge Gnabry, who scored with the heel at Lewandowskis notice. Benfica did make the game exciting again through Morato.
But in the second half Bayern gased and distanced Benfica. Leroy Sanรฉ scored after halftime and after Lewandowski
s 4-2 no one had any doubts. In the final phase, Lewandowski gave the Bayern party extra shine with his hat-trick, putting the number of Champions League goals at eight hits this season. With four out of twelve, Bayern is already sure of the next round in the billion-dollar ball.
Kyiv – Barcelona 0-1Barcelona has placed for the next round in the Champions League back in control after the escape at Dinamo Kiev. Ansu Fatis late goal made it 0-1 in Ukraine.
Barcelona struggled to impose the will on Kiev. Chances were there, but Kiev got the biggest opportunities on a goal. Via Nico and Jordi Alba, the Catalans did not return until just before rest.
The game image barely changed after halftime. Barcelona had little opportunity, but after half time the referee pointed to the dot after a Barcelona player was knocked over in the penalty area. However, following the interference of the VAR, that decision was reversed.
The redemption eventually came from Fati, who gave Barcelona the lead from about twelve feet. It was a little pinch in the final phase, but the Spaniards win and participate fully again.
