Bayern with one leg in quarterfinals

Bayern Munich did excellent business in the first Champions League match against Lazio. Visiting Rome, Der Rekordmeister won 1-4, making the return seem like a formality. After his hit, Robert Lewandowski rises to third place in the Champions Leagues all-time top scoring list.

Already after 45 minutes of playing, the diptych between Lazio and Bayern seemed pretty good. The team of trainer Hansi Flick got the lead after nine minutes: Mateo Musacchio played the ball back too short on Pepe Reina, intercepted Lewandowski and then tapped. Because of his hit, Lewandowski is now third in the Champions Leagues all-time top scoring list (72 goals), behind Cristiano Ronaldo (134) and Lionel Messi (119).

Bayern-child prodigy Jamal Musiala, still only seventeen years old, doubled the score halfway through the first half. He pushed the ball from just outside the penalty area hard behind Reina, becoming Bayerns youngest goalscorer ever in the Champions League. The final chord in the first half was for Leroy Sané, who turned it 0-3 after a lightning fast counter.
It seemed to be limiting damage for Lazio in the second half. The team received the fourth Bayern-hit within two minutes, although that goal was not made by a player from the German team. After a quick switch, Francesco Acerbi ran the ball very unfortunate in his own goal. It summed up Lazio
s evening well.

And thats ЗКð†Ð … It doesnt stop for Lazio. Francesco Acerbis own goal means fourth for Bayern, after which Joaquín Correa returns: 1-4 Ðÿ§® #ZiggoSport #UCL #LAZFCB pic.twitter.com/7YP90G7dyd

Joaquín Correa returned a few minutes later on behalf of Lazio, shooting the 1-4 behind Manuel Neuer. Furthermore, the team of trainer Simone Inzaghi did not come anymore, although it was still close from a corner kick. It causes Lazio to need a small miracle to reach the Champions League quarterfinals.
