Belgium on the verge of group profit after home victory over England

In Leuven, Belgium has done very good business in group 2 to reach the final round of the Nations League. The team of trainer Roberto Martínez defeated England by 2-0 and this Wednesday against Denmark will have a tie enough for the group win.

The Red Devils started strongly against an England that missed quite a few players. Leicester City player Youri Tielemans passed after ten minutes with a low distance shot goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Halfway through the second half, Dries Mertens curled the 2-0 on the scoreboard from a free kick.

After rest, the English came a lot better and they explicitly went in search of the connection hit. Although the team of coach Gareth Southgate was regularly threatening, things always went wrong in the final phase. Through a shot by Romelu Lukaku, the Belgians were given the greatest chance in the final phase.

Because of the loss, the English have been eliminated in the battle for group profit.

Night-cut victory Denmark
