Steven Berghuis obviously bothered by the loss of points that Feyenoord suffered against fence closer FC Emmen. In De Kuip the Rotterdammers played with 1-1.
“It was a disappointing game,” says Berghuis about the tie in front of ESPN‘s camera. “We have alternated good phases with very bad ones. We often came into the final phase, but we got too few big opportunities. That’s why we kept them alive,” analyzes the Feyenoord captain.
“Then there is one moment, that penalty, and then it is 1-1. Then it becomes difficult,” continues Berghuis, who believes that Feyenoord failed mainly in the second half. “The first half was okay, we were much like half of the opponent and there was a lot of movement. That fell away afterwards.”
After the 1-1, Feyenoord no longer came to a good final offensive. “You play football against time”, explains Berghuis. “Was it unwillingness? The field just becomes very long, I do not think it was unwillingness,” concludes the attacker.
