US President Biden is leaving for Europe on Wednesday for a week. It will be his first foreign trip as president. His wife, Jill, is coming.

At the beginning of their trip, the president and the first lady meet American soldiers in Suffolk, Great Britain. Biden also has a meeting with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson near Cornwall on Thursday. The summit of seven leading industrial states (G7) takes place from Friday to Sunday. Biden is also expected to speak separately with leaders, such as the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. At the end of their visit to Britain, the American president and first lady are received Sunday by Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle near London.
On Monday, Biden will take part in the NATO Summit in Brussels, where the next day a meeting with leaders of the European Union is scheduled.
