Blind: ‘Dismayingly happy at Ajax, but has to tell what future brings’

Daley Blind would love to close his career at Ajax, but does not rule out a new adventure for ending his career as a football player. Blind, who played against Fortuna Sittard as a left back again, indicates that he prefers to play in the ashes anyway.
Blind is definitely not thinking about ending his career yet, he points out after the 5-0 victory over Fortuna. โ€œNo. Im far from ready, that to begin with,โ€ he laughs in front of ESPNs camera. โ€œI am incredibly happy at Ajax, but it has to explain what the future holds. I see myself shut tingting down here too, if that happens Im a happy man. But if anything else happens that might make me want to go on another adventure… Then it may just be that I do that.โ€
Blind also played Fortuna as a leftback again, although he prefers to play downtown. โ€œI like it well. It
s no secret that I like to play in the ashes of the field, I feel very comfortable there. If I were allowed to choose, I would pull to the axis more often. But its also good for me to play left-back and get rhythm to that. At the Dutch team, I also often play in that placeโ€, the Ajax routine concludes.
