Borussia Dortmund bends: City turns match after beautiful hit Haaland

Borussia Dortmund just failed to bring Manchester City to its knees. The Germans thought they would hold out against Pep Guardiola‘s team for ninety minutes, but had to bow in the final phase after wonderful goals by John Stones and Erling Haaland: 2-1.
Nathan Akรฉ started the game with the home team, Donyell Malen sat on the bench with the visitors. Dortmund’
s intentions were clear from minute one: the team exuded unity and wanted to prevent a counter goal. Initially, that worked. After more than fifteen minutes, Erling Haaland got his first opportunity, but Niklas Sรผle sat briefly on the Norwegian and did not let him head.
Akรฉ and former Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji had little to worry about the German attack, although so did on the other side. Haaland barely appeared in the play, so both teams rested with a 0-0 position. Dortmund came out of the locker room strong. Through Marco Reus, Die Schwarzgelben got an excellent opportunity to get the lead, but the outside player shot ahead.
Not much later, the Germans got the lead and it wasn‘t undeserved. Jude Bellingham promoted a shot from Reus to goal and looked for the frenzied outage. Donyell Malen was brought within the lines half an hour before time. With him in the team, Dortmund had to stand up. That did not work. Defender John Stones signed ten minutes before time with a great goal for the liberating 1-1.

City did not settle for a tie and turned it on again. Of all, Haaland gave The Citizens the victory in the final phase, with an acrobatic volley. Because of the victory, the English lead the group with six points. Dortmund follows with three points.

Just stand at home! ๐Ÿ‘ Of course, it’s Haaland against his old team, but what a ball from Joรฃo Cancelo ๐Ÿคค Manchester City turns the game around phenomenally, 2-1! ๐Ÿ”ฅ #ZiggoSport #UCL #MCIBVB
