Bosz is again damaged with Leverkusen; defeat at Union Berlin

Bayer Leverkusen has once again been damaged in the German title battle. The team of trainer Peter Bosz is still third after a 1-0 defeat at Union Berlin, but Borussia Dortmund can displace Leverkusen from that spot on Saturday if it wins FSV Mainz.

Leverkusen did not win his last three Bundesliga duels and hit the surprise of this Bundesliga season Friday night in Union Berlin. Last season, the club from Berlin ended in eleventh place. After sixteen matches in the current season, Union stands fourth.

The team of trainer Bosz got away well early in the race. Defender Marvin Friedrich walked freely in the sixteen meter area, but his headball went through the pole next to the goal of goalkeeper Lukás Hrádecký.

Brief performance Becker

For Sheraldo Becker, the game didn‘t last long. The Dutch attacker of Union Berlin had to leave the field after 24 minutes, due to an injury.

Becker’s replacement, Cedric Teuchert, thought right after rest to put the home team ahead, but the ball miraculously bounced back into the field through the inside of the pole.

In the final phase, Teuchert still made the winning hit. The understudy shot the ball, via goalkeeper Hrádecký, against the ropes and gave Leverkusen his third defeat of the season.
