BVB by after chaotic duel

Borussia Dortmund is in the Quarterfinals of the Champions League. In their own house, the Germans played 2-2 against Seville, which was enough to reach the next round.

The first meeting between Dortmund and Seville won Die Borussen in the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán with 2-3, so Seville had to score at least twice in order to get to the quarterfinals. Sevilla started the duel strongly and dominated the competition. The formation of Julen Lopetegui managed to create a number of opportunities, only they were not cashed into a goal.
Dortmund mercilessly punished that by finishing the first real chance right away. Thomas Delaney captured the ball in half of Seville. Through a smooth attack, the ball ended up with Marco Reus. The German kept the overview and put the ball back on Erling Haaland, who shot the ball in the net: 1-0. That was also the stand that was on the scoreboard at rest.

After ten minutes in the second half there was an accumulation of curious moments. At first Haaland seemed to make the 2-1. However, the VAR put a stop to this: Haalands goal was rejected, because Jules Koundé made a violation on Haaland in the run-up to the goal. Instead, Dortmund was given a penalty. Haaland went behind the ball himself, but missed the penalty kick. However, the Norwegian striker was allowed to take the penalty again because Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou stepped off his line too early. In the second instance Haaland did enter the penalty, although Bounou got pretty close.

In the 68th minute Sevilla did something back, after it also received a penalty. Youssef En-Nesyri shot the ball hard through the bar into the target. In injury time, En-Nesyri once again signed a hit: 2-2. Nevertheless, it was not enough for Seville to push through in the Champions League. Over two races, the meeting between Dortmund and Sevilla ended in 5-4 for the team of trainer Edin Terzic. Dortmund therefore continues to the quarter-finals of the billionaire ball.
