Cambuur keeps word against De Graafschap, Almere hopes to win Jong Ajax

SC Cambuur did not give a present to De Graafschap on Friday. The new champion dragged a 1-1 draw from the fire in the Kitchen Champion Division topper against De Superboeren. Almere City FC won Jong Ajax and can hope for that.
SC Cambuur – De Graafschap 1-1SC Cambuur trainer Henk de Jong announced in advance that his team would not roll out the red carpet for De Graafschap, which is hunting for the second direct promotion ticket to the Eredivisie. The Leeuwarders kept their word, although after half an hour the visitors still got ahead of their own goal by Michael Breij, who worked in a corner kick unhappily. After a nice attack, Giovanni Korte made the right after an hour of Issa Kallon: 1-1.
Both teams then got opportunities for more, but had to settle in a draw. De Graafschap will be more concerned with that, since Almere City reduced the gap on the number two to four points.
Almere City FC – Jong Ajax 1-0Almere City has only a small chance of direct promotion and made no mistake against Jong Ajax Friday. The Amsterdam promises seemed to be ahead of the start for rest, when Brian Brobbey was allowed to take a penal kick. However, the strikers attempt flew out of the small stadium. Almere was given good opportunities especially through Thomas Verheydt and took a relief fifteen minutes before. John Yeboah shot a brilliant hit in the intersection.
Almere can therefore continue to hope, although it is quite a job to pass De Graafschap with only two duels.
