Canada now mandates vaccination in train and plane

Canada mandates a coronavirus vaccination for government employees, trains and planes. Staff who refuse vaccination must be on unpaid leave.

Passengers 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated on trains, aircraft and cruise chips within Canada. The scheme applies from the end of this month, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his deputy announced.

To travel, you must have been vaccinated, Trudeau summed up the new rule. Its not the time for half measures when it comes to preventing new lockdowns for everyone, he further said. It also prevents the minority of vaccination opponents from โ€œsabotaging Canadian economic recoveryโ€, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland thought.

Government staff are national government employees, agents and military personnel. It is estimated that it is about 300,000 people. Trudeau had already announced the commitments during the recent election campaign, which he won.
