‘Champions League-Transfer’ works differently: Padt still needs to make debut

Sergio Padt has had little fun with his transfer to the Bulgarian Ludogorets for the time being. The former FC Groningen goalkeeper did not stand in the base of his new club.
The 31-year-old Amsterdammer is still waiting for his debut. In the first heat of the Champions League, Kristijan Kahlina was preferred and he kept his goal clean in both matches against Shakhtyor Soligorsk. So, against NS Mura in the second heat, Padt has to sit back on the bench.
The Bulgarian Super Cup was finished last weekend without any input from the Dutch goalkeeper, so its still a question whether he can win a base place with the Bulgarian champion this season. Shaquille Pinas is in a similar boating. The ADO defender wasnt even part of the competition selection.
A Dutchman who gets minutes at Loedogorets is Elvis Manu. The attacker is not in base, but fell in the battle for the Super Cup against CSKA Sofia (4-0 victory) and was also allowed to take minutes in Soligorsks hedge.
