Chardon family boycott World Cup quadruple in their own country

IJsbrand Chardon and his son Bram Chardon boycott the World Championships in Valkenswaard. The event, which is planned from 7 to 11 October, will take place on the grounds of the Australian world champion Boyd Exell. According to the Chardon family that location is not fair.

Originally, the World Championships were to be held in Kronenberg, Limburg, but due to the corona pandemic this could not take place. Exell, who has his home base in Brabant, then offered to organise the World Cup at his home. The equestrian sports association KNHS agreed.

National coach Ad Aarts is not satisfied with the decision of the Chardons. “The horses are in top form, I deeply regret the boycott

Even Exell cannot understand the action of its competitors. “It is a pity that the Chardons are drawing attention to themselves in this way. It is a pity that the Chardons are drawing attention to themselves in this way. It is extremely childish and selfish
