Chef dies from falling into pan with hot chicken soup

A drama took place in the kitchen of an event hall in the Iraqi city of Zakho. During the preparation of a wedding, 25-year-old chef Issa Ismail died after falling into a hot pan of chicken soup.

According to The Independent, Ismail was preparing for a big wedding on June 15 when he slipped and fell into the pan with chicken soup. The hot soup caused the cook to get third degree burns on more than 70 percent of his body.

The chef was rushed to a hospital in the nearby town of Dohuk for treatment. There he died of his injuries on June 21. A local broadcaster reports that Ismail has three children, the youngest of which is only six months old.
