Chelsea Owner Boehly Dines with Barça Club Leading and Discusses Transfers

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was in Barcelona on Thursday. The billionaire had dinner there with the management of FC Barcelona. Among others, chairman Joan Laporta, technical director Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruijff were present to discuss possible transfers.
This week it was announced that Chelsea may be interested in Frenkie de Jong, who has been linked to Manchester United for weeks. Boehly‘s visit will only fuel the rumor mill, but Chelsea and Barça can talk about plenty of players: the Catalan club is keen to take over César Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, who are now playing before The Blues.
Both players still have a one-year contract in London and Barcelona would like to make use of that. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is charmed by Frenkie de Jong and would like to bring in the midfielder, but Boehly didn’
t want to say anything about the Dutchman. The food was delicious, the American responded to the question about possible transfers.
