Chris Woerts: ‘Panic at Feyenoord, Arnsen absent during busy transfer summer’

Feyenoord has to do without technical director Frank Arnesen for the time being. According to Chris Woerts, the Dane will have to pass by the whole transfer summer. He speaks of big panic in De Kuip.
“Frank Arnesen has contracted a bacterial infection in his knee,” says Woerts at Vandaag Inside. “At the final in Tirana, he already had a knee the size of a balloon. He went to Tirana after all and did a number of things. The bacterium has been struck in his body and he has to undergo at least a course of penicillin until September. Hes stuck to his house. He occasionally goes to the club but can do little. Arnesen needs to be replaced. That is a problem for Feyenoord, because it is the most important period of the year.”
Feyenoord is waiting for a busy transfer summer. Key players such as Luis Sinisterra, Orkun Kökcü, Tyrell Malacia and Marcos Senesi are very interested. Woerts expects lawyer Joris van Benthem and general manager Dennis te Kloese to observe the honors in the coming months. “Te Kloese has a technical background in America and Mexico. Frank does answer his phone and apps like crazy. But he cannot physically go anywhere, so that is very difficult for him during this period.”
